Who I Am Right Now.
I'm Clara Fae. I am aspiring artist, author and historian. I live in the beautiful country hills of Western Massachusetts where I am working on building myself a tiny house; a studio for my artistic passions and a sanctuary in the chaotic world. I love spending time in nature reading and writing historical fiction, designing and sewing clothing and painting and drawing from life.

I am now officially a Historic Deerfield Guide! This has been an amazing experience so far and I am so glad to be part of the Historic Deerfield community!

The Oak Chest is a way for me to contribute to making slow and sustainable fashion more wide spread and accessible. It is an outlet for my fashion creations and a way that I can (someday) support myself, while also supporting the earth.

Dual Enrollment @ Community College
​I have just finished my first ever college class at GCC and plan to take many more! After a big, complicated registering mess I finally settled on English 101: Nature: Problems and Prospectives, an accelerated class, and I couldn't be happier with the outcome! This was a wonderful class taught by Trevor Kearns and I have learned so much, not only about English but also about Environmental Activism. Because I was only taking one class I was able to handle the quantity of work that was thrown at me at once.
In the Spring I will take an Art class at GCC and an Art History class at HCC. I am so excited to be working on both at the same time and I know it will be a wonderful experience.
NaNoWriMo
I am so excited to be participating in NaNoWriMo once again! Last year I had so much fun and now I have experience and many videos behind me to support the PREQUEL to my last novel! At the moment I am outlining and prepping before the actual editing begins and preparing myself and my family for lots of writing experience!

Revising and Editing

Now that I have finished the first draft of my story that I started during NaNoWriMo and then formatted it and printed it out, I can finally start to revise. Right now I am working on the story I am telling, making sure the story, plot, characters and time line are structured and strong. The next step is Line Editing, HOW I am telling the story. If you are a writer or aspiring author I can not recommend enough that you check out Abbie Emmons' YouTube channel. She is the absolute queen of writing and watching her videos helped so much when I was writing and even now as I revise.
